Ändamål

The Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation is a non-official, autonomous institution, having as its major objective the promotion of social, political, economic and cultural progress within the nations whose development Dag Hammarskjöld had so closely at heart, by providing training for nationals of the developing countries to hold responsible positions.
Activities:
1. The Foundation shall be operating and not grant-making. Its work programmes shall, as a rule, be performed under its own auspices.
2. Training shall be provided through seminars, conferences, courses and such other activities as may constitute a preparation for or a follow-up to programmes of this kind.
3. The activities of the Foundation shall be directed particularly to academically or otherwise well trained or administratively experienced persons from developing countries.
4. Training activities shall be concentrated to fields considered to be of topical, practical and immediate interest to developing countries.
